Agenda: Notes meets Calendar
Timeline notes
Free · In-App Purchases
Apple Design Award winner, Editors’ Choice, and App of the Day. Agenda connects your notes to your calendar, so plans and decisions stay tied to when they happen.
Most note apps lose track of time. You jot something down, it vanishes into a folder, and a week later you can't recall why you made that choice or what you prepped for that meeting.
Agenda changes this. Each note sits on a timeline with your calendar. Get ready for next week's client meeting, capture decisions as they occur, and review exactly what brought you here — all in one glance.
"It's my favourite new app in years."
— John Gruber, daringfireball.net
"Every notes app should work like Agenda."
— Khoi Vinh, subtraction.com
"One of the most intriguing note-taking apps I've used."
— John Voorhees, MacStories
YOUR NOTES, LINKED TO YOUR CALENDAR
Attach any note to a date or link it directly to a calendar event. Mark notes as "On the Agenda" to highlight them in a dedicated overview — your shortlist of what's crucial right now.
A TRUE TEXT EDITOR
Headings, lists, tables, checklists, indented blocks, and preformatted text — with the ease of plain text input. Concentrate on your writing; Agenda manages the appearance.
FILES, PHOTOS, AND LINKS
Attach files and images to any note. Everything syncs across your devices and can be previewed inline.
PROJECTS AND CATEGORIES
Group notes into projects, group projects into categories. Drag to reorder, collapse to focus, or let the timeline organise for you.
MAC, IPAD, AND IPHONE
Agenda syncs across all your devices via iCloud or Dropbox. Share individual notes for real-time collaboration — ideal for team meetings or shared lists.
FREE TO USE, FOREVER
Agenda is free with no time limits. Premium features are available through a yearly subscription — and you retain every feature you unlock, even if you cancel. A one-time lifetime purchase is also available.

IMPROVED
- Typing is faster in long notes.
FIXED
- Agenda could crash at launch when it had access to Reminders and a reminder had no list, for example after you deleted it.
- Text that you typed could go away when the note list reloaded, for example during a sync.
- In a table, the row and column buttons select on the first tap and show their menu on the second tap again.
23.4.4 25 min ago
IMPROVED
- iPhone Duo: the buttons sit at the outer edges, where your thumbs are. On the outer screen, search is at the top and the + is at the bottom. When the Duo is open like a book, the sidebar buttons move to a column at the left edge.
FIXED
- An attachment that you edited could stop opening, because it lost its file. Agenda now keeps the file and repairs the link. It also finds lost files when it can.
- A new device could fail to sync and show a sync error again and again. This happened after Agenda cleaned up old projects in iCloud.
- In search, Return moves to the next match in the note again.
- A folded paragraph stays folded after Move Text Up or Move Text Down.
- iPhone Duo: the header buttons stay in the side column on iOS 27.2 and in landscape. The Close, filter and overview buttons in search moved there too.
