Tried building again after the failed build and got

The errors that you get have don't immediately look familiar.
The instructions for building on Arch were updated a few weeks ago, and have been tested on a clean installation of Manjaro (see https://github.com/dotdevelop/dotdevelop/wiki/Manjaro-%28Arch%29).
Can you check that you have all the pre-requisites installed, and report on the various versions (dotnet, mono, msbuild, etc) that you get?

DOH that build problem was from me building with -j48, if i omit the job count i get further

The
OPENSSL_internalerrors often occur when running the CI workflow on github, and generally go away if the workflow is re-run immediately. I've asked, but had no answers as to why this may be.On my own Arch system, they've never occurred. I've got both
openssl-1.0andopenssl(v3.0.7) from the Official Repositories (core) installed, wnich may be worth a try.hwthomas commentedon Jan 16, 2023

I am able to build on Arch with revision 7dc1f75.
